Optical Illusion as instructed in Knit Stitch Guide by Rita Weiss

Oooh another basketweave! It's called "Optical Illusion," but it's basketweave variation. The twisted ribbing gives the illusion of an hourglass shape, but it is alternating blocks of ribbing and garter stitch. I'm not sure I like the look of this very much, but I do wonder what it looks like blocked. But I am happy to try out another basketweave style, as I have a rather large project coming up with a basketweave stitch. More on that later….
