Zig Zag

Zig Zag as instructed in Knit Stitch Guide by Rita Weiss, if you can tell
Ooh, this is where colorful yarn fails us. The pattern here is simply in the arrangement of knits and purls per row, creating an effect of vertical zigzags of alternating moss and stockinette stitch. In the book I am working from this is knit in a solid color and it looks great. However, the effect totally disappears when using this multi-colored yarn. Colorful yarns tend to overshadow details in the pattern. As I am learning, as pretty as a color way is, it's not always the best to show off stitches.
